v. July 7, 2022
If investors and bankers of the financial markets try by lobbying or with any other action to cause the transfer of taxpayers money to them, they are named marfinosi. The word marfinosi is derived from the word for theatre marionettes. Marfinosi are those in the theatre of national political life who try to play with governments as if they were marionettes. Marfinosi are participants of the financial markets who try to influence governments in favor of the initial goal of volatile unstable financial markets. The next and following goal after the usual loss periods is to convince governments to transfer taxpayers money for rescue packages, decided by governments in the silly hope to restore stable markets. In modern history, financial markets have never been stable. Unstability is their nature and their purpose. The purpose is to regulate without governmental regulation because free regulation is for this subject in the long runner better for the world. The typical result of such rescue packages is a visible or hidden huge donation of taxpayers money to rich investors, among them also financial speculators, like many investment banks. After having obtained such a success, the marfinosi feel encouraged to play it again - again - again... The expression should only be used in the plural form - hence marfinosi - and not like "marfinoso". A single actor of the financial markets could not exercise significant influence on governmental politics. There is a problem only if it is a group behavior concept. Marfinosi in the sense of the definition are individual actors with no coordination and with no organisation behind them. There is nothing like a conspiracy involved. It does not make sense to criticize that a specific individual behaves "like marfinosi". This belongs to the individual rights of everybody in free nations. Only the aggregate effect of many individuals acting this way can cause destructive effects for governements and democracy. Links related to this » Financial crisis /_MENU_ (MC:) EYA-MENU-EN EN !DE!
